Changing Wii Country in 2020?

Hello everybody!

Since I've been playing Mario Kart online with my Wii again, a question has come up.

Is it possible to change the flag you see before the online race?

I live in the United Kingdom and would like to race with the flag of my home country, Bolivia.

Now I have checked several online threads etc. to see if this is possible and then found out that AnyRegion Changer is a good choice. All you have to do is install AnyRegion Changer on your rooted Wii and change the "Shop Country Code" to the Shop Country Code Number of the country you want to use.

So far so good!

But then I read on the official site of WiiBrew (the inventor of AnyRegion Changer) that changing the Shop Region is no longer possible because the Wii Shop has been shut down.

What do you think? Is it still possible to change the flag on Mario Kart Wii? Do you know how?

What region is Bolivia? If they use PAL and you’re on a PAL Wii you can change it in the Wii settings. If Bolivia is NTSC however then I’ll have to check if there’s some hacky way to change it
