Wasn't really sure where to place this: MKW General or Tutorials? I could see it in either, but here it is for now.
If you're getting Error Code 60000, you're probably new to Wiimmfi. The error code isn't going to go away any time soon. Read on to learn what it is and how you can fix it.
What is Error Code 60000? Error Code 60000 means your friend code isn't registered with Wiimmfi, and thus, you cannot go online with it. If you don't care about going online, then you don't need to worry about this.
There was a while before Wiimmfi opened to everyone where Wiimm had you input your FC(s) to his site so you could go online when the new server was created and open for everyone. If you didn't input your FC(s), didn't want to, didn't think the server was going to go far, what have you.... you now can't go online due to Error Code 60000. There is a way to fix it, however.
1.) Get Wiimmfi using whatever method you choose. Since most people are probably viewing this thread because they are getting Error Code 60000, you probably already have Wiimmfi, but you're having problems connecting online, so this step is rather useless. If you don't have Wiimmfi already, get it (using the method of your choice).
2.) Create all four licenses. I'm not quite sure how the app works (you'll see what I mean if you keep reading) as I've never had to use it. I believe it takes your current data and sends it to the server. So, if you have only one license made and use the app -- great, your FC has been added. However, if you want to use another license, you will have to repeat the process all over again. So, even if you don't think you're going to be using all four licenses, create all four anyway. Once all four licenses have been created, try connecting on all of them. Yes, you'll still get an error code, but that's fine.
3.) Download the following Homebrew application. I downloaded and uploaded it myself and I have no viruses, so nor should you:http://mega.co.nz/#!C5UBiJJD!IW8RINc...e76tfh_M-aytP0
4.) Once you download it, you will see something called pidtool.zip. Inside this ZIP archive, you will find a folder, which (again) is titled: pidtool. Since, again, you most likely already have Wiimmfi, that means you have the Homebrew channel, and (a/an) app(s) for the Homebrew channel. If you don't have apps on your Homebrew channel for whatever reason, create a folder on the root of your SD card called apps Take the thing you just downloaded (pidtool), and put the pidtool in your apps folder on your SD card.
5.) Eject your SD card.
6.) Put your SD card in your Wii.
7.) Launch the Homebrew channel.
8.) You should see a new application on your Homebrew channel. Run it. This will send all your data to the Wiimmfi server. This shouldn't take too long, but it's possible for it to take up to 24 hours.
9.) Test to see if your FC got sent. Please note that as stated above, this can take up to 24 hours. However, you can test to see if it got sent by using the following link: http://wiimmfi.de/nick/XXXX-XXXX-XXXX
Replace the text in red with your FC, and include the dashes. For example, if my FC was 1111-1111-1111, I would want to use the following link:
http://wiimmfi.de/nick/1111-1111-1111
The link I shouldn't use (no dashes):
http://wiimmfi.de/nick/11111111111
If you go to that link with your FC in it and see a dash: -
That means your FC hasn't been registered yet and you will need to wait to go online.
If you go to that link with your FC in it and see retrieved, that means your FC has been registered with Wiimmfi and you can play online now with that license.
