Hey guys, my old router that I used in the past to play MKW is broken so I only have a 4G modem left. When I try to connect to wiimmfi I get error code 61070. Please help me to fix this problem.

Well:

1. If you wish to set up Wiimmfi with 4G connection, good luck with your data plan. You'll burn it off at a horrible rate.

2. I don't think it's even possible.

It's possible and it isn't using much data (2-4MB per race). I played with 2G EDGE on Wiimmfi once - no lag. I'd test the ping and speed rate of your 4G Network

Yeah. I highly recommend not using 4G data to play on Wiimmfi for a variety of reasons, but the first step would be to make sure your internet will be able to handle it. If not, you'll just get banned from Wiimmfi for having crappy internet that lags other players.

4G will most likely emit some sort of lag just based on the fact you're running on an "uncontrollable" network and it really is based on how much the people around you also use the network. Bare in mind that 4G takes up bandwidth, and if someone is using a lot of their 4G then you'll get lag as well.

Right, this is true. But again, not all people have data plans that can hold this much. It does depend on how much you race, but it doesn't seem reliable in the long run.

So there is no way to get it to work?
Oh and I dont have a data plan, I pay monthly.

There is a way. Set up a hotspot on your phone and enable 4G LTE data, and then allow the device of the Wii/WiiU. You can do this by going to Settings > More... > Tethering & Mobile Hotspot. Then turn it on (click on the slide bar on the top to enable Mobile Hotspot) and then click Mobile Hotspot Settings then set it up. Then enable the wii/wii u by clicking allow one device (you can chose any amount, but personally 1) then add the wii/wiiu mac address. I shouldn't have to explain this one ;) Then turn on your mobile hotspot and connect your wii/wii u to it and you will be able to use it! Congratulations!~ You might want to check your data plan though. If it doesn't support UNLIMITED, it will not be easy to play. It will most likely run to 2G if you are using a GB plan (ex: 1 , 2 , 4 ) and will be REALLY slow. so I would recommend only doing this if you have a Unlimited Plan. Even then, do a speedtest and make sure the speed is good enough to work on wiimmfi, or else people will think you are lagging with hacks. :)

If I'm not mistaken hotspots cost money to run on and a lot of them. Based on his constraints, it doesn't seem realistic he can run on it.

It doesn't cost me any money or add money to the bill that I pay for unlimited data.

Well yes, but this assuming you have unlimited data. If he does I still think it burns a lot of bandwidth and messes with the connection.

Yeah, but I think it's worth a try.

So guys, can someone explain why 4G LTE data cant work with wiimmfi? I don't see why it cant? It works great with other online games, so why not MKW?

Because in most cases you are behind a CG-NAT which blocks P2P connections like MKW has.

So I'm guessing it doesn't block other games' P2P connections?

It blocks every kind of P2P. However some services may work when the service you are connecting to has open access to the internet. A CG-NAT can be bypassed tho - with an other APN or with a P2P-VPN. That's depends of your operator.

Damn, alright.

You could STUN your 4G connection. In most cases it's a symmetric cone NAT. If you have that, P2P is mostly getting blocked. Restricted NATs could work and Full Cone NATs aren't in phone networks - never saw one.

Just don't use mobile data it's untrustworthy and horrible just try getting an open router settings or WEP if you can this totally does the trick for DS and Wii hmm 🤔 just use normal router it world fine with the Wiimmfi App!

Yah I have an open router that's not 4g now g
