On this day, Feb. 6th, in the world of Pokemon, the rare Pokemon Mew's genes were successfully cloned, and thus made the ultimate Pokemon, Mewtwo. Mewtwo had gone through a lot throughout the years. It was abused for research. It was enslaved as a weapon of Team Rocket. And it revolted. So horribly, it is said Team Rocket, the main criminal organization of the world of Pokemon, was trying to stop Mewtwo the whole time. First, they thought Pokémon from the past would be able to stop it, so they looted fossils of rare, prehistoric Pokémon from Mt. Moon. But, you stopped them. Later, they planned to steal the Silph Scope so they could catch Ghost Pokemon, Mewtwo's natural weakness. But no, you stopped them. Finally, they were going to go after the Master Ball, which was their last hope in trying to stop it, and that was to catch it so it could do no more harm. But no, you stopped them and used the Master Ball yourself. So after the game, you have to fight Mewtwo in the hidden cave in Cerulean City that was blocked off until you bested the Elite Four. And in the precipice of the cave, Mewtwo stood as the final boss. Being Lv. 70, it was the highest level Pokemon to be able to be found in the wild until Platinum, with Arceus at Lv. 80. But that will be a discussion for another day.
