The Mario Kart Wii Cup Challenge!

Hello everyone!

Are you excited for the holidays coming up? I know we are! Due to that, we have a contest that is going to be running all month long! We'll possibly throw in some other contests along the way as well, but this is the main contest for the month. So as the name implies, this is a Mario Kart Wii Cup challenge. Here's more on how it works:

All 8 cups of Mario Kart Wii be available for grab. It's a first come, first-serve basis here, so grab your favorite cup quickly before anyone else does! Once you grab the cup, you are now the "Cup King". You are allowed to be the Cup King of 3 cups at one time. No more than 3. However, other people can challenge you to your cup, and since everyone is so nice on the forum, you will gladly accept their challenge. You must play one GP with the challenger. Obviously, you both have to pick the tracks of the cup you're playing (so if you're playing a mushroom cup match, you need to play only the tracks in the Mushroom Cup: Luigi Circuit, Moo Moo Meadows, Mushroom Gorge, and Toad's Factory -in order). Whoever wins is now the Cup King. So the current cup king can either maintain the cup, or the challenger can win and become the new cup king. That's really all there is to it. It's similar to having staff slayer matches, except you're playing to be the cup king rather than to beat a staff member. So how do we determine who "wins"? We determine who wins by how many cups a person is Cup King of (see below).

To sum all of that down, you essentially play a 1v1 match with the person. Whoever wins is/will maintain the Cup King of the cup in question. Whoever is the Cup King of the most cups gets 1st, then the next person who is the Cup King of the most cups gets 2nd, and then the person who is the Cup King of the next amount of cups gets 3rd. If there are any ties (and there most likely will be since there's only 6 cups)

Rules/Other Information:
Please read these carefully.

1. If you are the current Cup King and someone challenges you, you must play them within 5 days. You can't hog the cup by not playing challengers. If you don't play your challenger within 5 days, you will automatically lose your Cup King position and it will automatically be given to your challenger who you never played.
2. Again, you must play the tracks in the Cup in question. So if you're playing for the Mushroom Cup King position, you have to play Luigi Circuit, Moo Moo Meadows, Mushroom Gorge, and Toad's Factory in order. You can't play the tracks in the Lightning Cup to win the Mushroom Cup King position. You only play 1 GP.
3. Post the results of all your matches on this thread so all information can be updated. You don't have to post or take pictures. However, at least one person in the match may want to take pictures in case of any conflicts or disagreements.
4. If you challenged someone for the Cup King position and they haven't responded to you in 5 days, please let us (Contest Designers) know. We have so much information to be looking for and updating on this thread that we're not really going to be looking for that kind of stuff on this thread.
5. Only 1v1 matches are allowed. If two people want to challenge the same Cup King, they will have to do separate matches.
6. You may use this thread to communicate with each other in order to schedule matches. You are obviously welcome to use other forms of communication as well.
7. To reiterate, this contest lasts all month long (and then some)! We originally wanted to post this on the 1st of December, but other things got in the way. So this means that this contest ends January 9th, 2016 at 11:59 PM E.S.T.
8. Obviously try to schedule as many matches as possible so you can get as much time as possible and have better chances of winning the contest.
9. If there are any ties, just keep playing the cup until a winner is determined.
10. You may only be the Cup King of 3 cups at a time.
11. You may only challenge the same person for a cup once every 24 hours. You can't lose and just keep challenging the person multiple times until you win. This doesn't apply if the person is Cup King of multiple cups. For example, let's say I'm the Cup King of the Mushroom Cup. If someone challenges me and they lose, they cannot challenge me for the Mushroom Cup again. However, let's say I'm also Cup King of the Star Cup. That same person who challenged me can challenge me if it's for a different cup. They just can't challenge me for the Mushroom cup until 24 hours pass.
12. If one player gets a TC, both players must stop until the player reaches normal size. Sometimes it can be hard to tell depending on the course and how far apart the two players are. However, if you can tell, then please stop. The best way to do this is to have the person who gets the TC stop. That way, if the other player sees someone spin out and stop on the mini map, it would be an indication for them to stop as well.

There's a lot of information the Contest Designers are looking out for. So if someone is breaking any rules, please let us know (preferably in PM/conversations). We also know that this (mainly the rules) may be a bit complex for people, so please let us know if you have any questions. And just to be clear, Contest Designers are allowed to participate in this contest. I'm personally not going to claim any cups as of me posting this thread now though because that would be pretty unfair.

Is this new? You used to be able to ask if people could play nearly everyday. This contest is a month long, and that month contains a pretty lengthy Christmas break for nearly everyone. You won't be able to participate at all? There's a lot of chances and potential here!

I can probably play every Sunday. From December 18-20. 27-January 4. (but there are a lot of holes on the days. I will NOT be able to play from January 5-9, and I will forfeit my cups by then.

I can still play Worldwides, but the main point is that I can't play the 5 days before it ends, so if someone challenges me, then they would automatically win.

Thinking about it....In order to win, I don't really need to play at the start. I can just steal the cups from everyone during the last week and still win, right?
